Job Description

The Student Worker (Marketing Intern) will support the Eagle Dining Marketing Department in its promotional efforts and contribute creative ideas to help achieve our goals. This part-time role is designed to help you develop marketing and communication skills while gaining knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will acquire broad experience in marketing and be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment. Enhance your resume with practical experience in a real-world setting.

Eagle Dining is looking for a student worker starting in Fall 2025. 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in creating social media content for Eagle Dining’s Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Contribute to the conception and implementation of Eagle Dining events.
• Support the creation of videography to promote dining services.
• Present dining information to guests, students, and parents during events such as University orientation and recruitment events.
• Participate in tabling events and activities to educate and promote meal plans.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Southern Miss student, preferably pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Hospitality, or related fields.
• Experience in marketing and/or videography is a plus.
• Proficiency in Canva or Creative Suite is a plus.
• Outgoing, friendly, and able to engage with students and potential students.
