We are currently hiring a Night Shift Dispatcher to work out of our Hobbs, NM location. You will be working the night shift from 6 pm – 6 am. This is a 6 on, 3 off schedule. Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating collection, and notifying drivers according to customer requests and company rules; communicating with customers to determine driver needs; monitoring drivers’ progress to ensure daily pick-ups are completed and resolving issues that impede progress; receiving and logging calls from various contracted oil rigs and gas plants that need delivery or pick up of equipment on their locations; maintaining appropriate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and internal controls; answering phones, staying in contact with each driver and directing them to various locations; reading maps and navigating drivers via GPS tracking system; liaising with internal teams to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints; working in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes and demonstrating proficiency in operational systems; assisting drivers when a pick up or delivery is in question before servicing; demonstrating effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient. Requirements include 2 years of Dispatcher experience in a transportation or logistics atmosphere preferred, excellent organization and communication skills both orally and written, pleasant demeanor over the phone and emails, excellent time management and prioritization skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, critical and logical thinking skills, and ability to multitask while compiling statistics and reports on workload progress to report to management.
