Job Description

Role Summary:

The Chief of Staff is a critical cross-functional operator focused on driving execution across Clayful’s Go-To-Market efforts. This role combines strategic thinking with exceptional communication and execution skills—supporting marketing, sales, and student engagement initiatives to ensure we reach and serve more students effectively. 

As an extension of the CEO, you’ll work across departments—sales, implementation, and customer success—to ensure clarity, consistency, and momentum in everything we put into the world. You’ll write marketing and sales emails, create and refine collateral, follow up on key sales conversations, and lead the creation of student-facing campaigns that drive adoption and usage.

Responsibilities:

Sales Support & Follow-Up

• Collaborate closely with CEO to follow up on warm leads and move deals forward
• Draft tailored follow-up messages, proposals, and summaries that capture the right tone and value proposition
• Track sales conversations and ensure the right materials and messages are being delivered at the right time
• Work with the CEO to prepare for high-stakes meetings and follow-through

Student Engagement & Campaigns

• Own student-facing marketing and communications to drive awareness and usage
• Create flyers, posters, digital messages, and onboarding materials that speak directly to students
• Analyze what’s working and iterate quickly to maximize student engagement

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

• Act as a connector between sales, implementation, customer success, and the executive team to align messaging and execution
• Support the CEO in driving clarity and accountability across high-priority projects
• Help organize internal materials for board updates, launches, and special initiatives
• Identify opportunities to streamline communication and improve team coordination
